The Theology
Our desire as the Faith Assembly
worship team is to facilitate musical expressions of adoration to God. We believe that this is accomplished through,
first and foremost, a restored relationship with God by the good work of Jesus
Christ.
Although men were created for this
very purpose, to worship God, our sins have alienated us from God caused us to
worship things in His creation instead.
God, however, desiring that mankind
would give back to Him their allegiance and love, sent His Son Jesus to
us. Jesus’ death and resurrection mark
God’s “payment in full” for our debt of sin and has now opened the way for all
men to return to their Creator and original purpose in worshipping God.
We believe that it is dependent upon
each one’s individual choice to express faith in Jesus Christ before their sins
can be forgiven and the true worship experience to begin.
The Service
On Sunday morning, the worship team
facilitates a time of contemporary-styled worship. The duration of worship varies but averages
between 30 - 40 minutes.
An open-mic is always stationed near
the front of the stage to help promote congregational participation. This practice is inspired by a Biblical
passage in first Corinthians chapter twelve which reads as follows: “When you
assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue,
has an interpretation.” We believe that
God may desire to use “people in the pew” during our services and so make
allowance for such.
We warmly embrace visitors and those
exploring the Christian faith.
First-time attendees can expect an energetic, Christ-centered
worship-experience. We look forward to
your visit.
